Back To The Line..... 5. FC-AFC Atlasta Winner “Lassie” LF, Scott Harp
Flyer: the flyer went straight up in the air and landed close to the gunners. Lassie came close to bird on the way out but missed it and put on a large hunt. Retired Gun: went in under the arc and made a loop deep to come back and pick up the bird. Blind:very nice job.

Test Condition Update
The wind has died down a little bit this afternoon, although it is still blowing steadily. It has changed the bird that was giving the dogs the most difficulty from the flyer to the retired bird. The gunners appreciate the break, too... The cloud cover is fairly even and the day has brightened up a bit.

Gun Change...
There will be a gun change after Dog #103. We always think this will be an opportunity to get caught up with our posts or even get ahead, but it rarely happens that way. These gun changes are fine-tuned and happen seamlessly. Oh well, good for this team of gunners and not so good for us.

Test Conditions Update...
The rain has stopped and the wind has died down to produce a better flyer for the competitors. The sky is dim with cloud cover and the dogs seem to be having an easier time picking out the handlers on the blind. These conditions have been consistent for the last five dogs.

Flyer: put up several loops in the area to pick up bird clean. Retired Gun: Dragon went in very wide left and deep of the holding blind but finally made it back to cover to pick up the bird. Flyer: was shot extremely short. Huck went straight to the area with a tiny hunt and picked up the bird. Retired Bird: hunted deep left of the bird working his way back to the cover to then pick up the bird. Blind: two whistles on the front, clean end. Nice job.

Wow!!! It feels like we are at a NASCAR event. The 4-wheelers raced out to the stations and expeditiously changed out gunners. These guys look like they have done this a time or two.
