After 2 No-Birds Flyer: Ali had a big hunt on an exceptionally long flyer.  Retired Gun: first dog of the day to jump the cover and scoop the bird up. Blind: one whistle to the pond, Ali got his toes wet and required only one more whistle to completion. Nice job.

65. FC-AFC Huntersbest Sapphire Jubilee “Jacki” LF, John Henninger

Flyer:excellent mark. Retired Gun: smashed it. Blind: one whistle to the pond and two whistles to the end for an excellent blind.

Back To The Line....59. FC Armagh's En Fuego “Hottie” LF, Don Remien

Flyer: made quick work of a very long flyer. Retired Gun: displayed excellent memory and went straight to the bird. Blind: one whistle to the pond, Hottie got into the water fat, stayed right and struggled to cast left into the wind to get over to the bird. Completed the blind.

64. FC-AFC Kimber VIII “Kimber” LF, Jerry Patopea

Flyer: dog went right to the area and picked up the bird. Retired Gun: Kimber got a short throw but went right to the bird. Good job. Blind: Kimber got past the pond before the first whistle was blown. Very nice job.

63. FC Dominator Boots She Worth It “Boots” LF, Danny Farmer

Flyer:excellent job on a flyer shot long. Retired Gun: quick pick up Blind: four whistles to the pond got in fat and punched out of the pond to the end to complete the blind with no other whistles. Good job.

62. FC RSK's Oohs And Aahs “Ozzie” LM, Alan Pleasant

Flyer: stomped on it. Retired Gun: straight to it. Blind: entered the water with a nice end to complete the blind.

Poor Gunners

The wind is not being kind to the gunners.  Our flyers have now started to land in unpredicted areas.  They are doing their best but these conditions are making it very challenging for the dogs and gunners.

61. FC-AFC Westshore Buddy “Buddy” LM, Jerry Kamphuis

Flyer:was shot short but grabbed it quick. Retired Gun: Buddy went deep and left of the holding blind to then work his way back to the bird. Blind: two whistles to the pond, got in the water and handled quickly to the end. Nice job.

60. FC Tower of Terror “Dragon” LM, Scott Harp

Flyer: put up several loops in the area to pick up bird clean. Retired Gun: Dragon went in very wide left and deep of the holding blind but finally made it back to cover to pick up the bird. Blind: two whistles to the pond, then swam left edge of the pond to handle to the end and picked up the blind nicely.

58. FC Huckleberry Fen “Huck” LM, Eric Fangsrud

Flyer: was shot extremely short. Huck went straight to the area with a tiny hunt and picked up the bird.  Retired Bird: hunted deep left of the bird working his way back to the cover to then pick up the bird.  Blind: two whistles on the front, clean end. Nice job.

57. FC-AFC Great Bunns Of Fire “Jerrylee” LF, Lynne DuBose

Flyer: smashed it. Retired Gun: Jerry Lee came in way left of the holding blind worked her way over to the bird respectfully.  Blind:  one whistle to the pond and had a clean finish.

Back To The Line...51. FC Salty Paws Hammerin Hank “Henry” LM, Bob Starford

Flyer: stomped on the bird.  Retired Gun: Henry came into the bird left of the holding blind made a small loop on the left to then swing to the cover and picked up the bird. Blind: very nice up front and a clean finish.

Gunner Change

Wow!!! It feels like we are at a NASCAR event.  The 4-wheelers raced out to the stations and expeditiously changed out gunners.  These guys look like they have done this a time or two.

55. FC Peakebrook's Brawny Force “Dozer” LM, Al Arthur

Flyer: clean & quick to the bird. Retired Gun: Dozer went left of the holding blind then turned toward the cover to the right and picked up the bird.  Blind: one whistle to the pond and then one whistle to the end and picked up the bird. Excellent job.

54. NAFC Paddle Creek's Pack Your Grip “Traveler” LM, Chad Baker

Flyer: extra long flyer which cause Trav to have a big hunt before he came upon the bird.  Retired Gun: excellent mark.  Blind: two whistles to the pond swimming fat with a handle out to the end to pick up the bird quickly.

Hang On To Your Hats......

The clouds have moved in and the wind is blowing like a storm is rolling in.  It is making it difficult for the gunners to accurately drop the flyer.  We are starting to get no-birds and flyers are landing all over.
