7th Series Test Description
The 7th Series is being ran in a flat field with gentle slopes & thick Bermuda grass. The wind is predominately out of the North gusting out of the Northeast to East at times. The mat is facing due South, lighting is favorable and the birds are very visible. The test is being shot with the middle short retired bird (SR) throwing a dead hen peasant to the left. The bird appears to land just shy of the long gun station (50yards) and is Hip Pocket to the Flyer station. This Short Retired measures at 165yards.
The gunners are retiring behind two hay bales where they are completely wrapped and the holding blinds are camouflaged by cut brush that resembles the surrounding bushes on the property. The grounds committee worked hard to conceal these gunners and have done a great job of doing so on both retired guns. The next gun station to be shot is a longer and is a hen pheasant Flyer thrown to the left. This Flyer measures at 218 yards and is the only stand out gun in the field. The last bird and the go bird is the right retired(RR) bird thrown to the right and is a drake mallard measuring at 180 yards. This station retires just after the bird hits the ground and the dogs number is called. Once the dog picks up all the birds he then must move to the left of the line and Honor the next dog competing. The test is taking approximately 6 minutes a dog.
Callbacks....To The 7th
The dogs called back are 2, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 28, 29, 31, 35, 37, 40, 41, 46, 47, 48, 50, 51, 56, 57, 65, 66, 68, 69, 70, 74, 76, 77, 79, 80, 82, 86, 87, 88, 89, 92, 93, 96, 99, 100, 101, 103, 105.
